So this was/is a entry for the competition at I don't know if I'm too late, though...

I made him look more like ferret/oriental dragon, and less like badger. I don't mind though, I like ferrets and dragons...

It took, maybe one or two hours in photoshop seven with a genius tablet.

Used a texture from =fotojenny . Again. xD

ZOMG! This is amazing! The fur is the best part of this!!!

I wish I could do fur! =[ I wish I had a tablet too. That would make endeavors like fur sooooo much easier! You're lucky to have a tablet!

Thanks. ^^

Doing fur without a tablet is impossible D:

Lol, yeah. Ours cost about $40...
And this is actually our second because the first broke.
Of course, my sister does commisions ands has definetly paid it all off by now.
Hopefully I'll do them soon, too. ;D

I dont think I could do any commissions. I might send in some of my comics for the paper, but thats about the max!^^

I'm still not comfortable enough with certain poses. Thats why I'm practicing human anatomy, then I need to start wolf and horse anatomy.

I actually plan to put up super cheap human/animal/creature bust commisions, and full-body animal/creature commisions up in different styles when I get a bit better. ;D

I plan to take anatomy as a side class (for drawing)(if I don't go to a police academy, which I will probably do) in college. I don't know. I need to expand my horizon on action shots of humans and dogs, and my visual vocabulary of what things look like. I really REALLY stylize my art. A lot. WAY to much. I don't really think I could get a job or career as an artist. Maybe a concept artist, but definitely not something someone see's every day.

I don't tkae classes, I just go to sites like [link] .

Or just look up pictures of skulls and sketch them.

I used to have that problem...That's why I do a lot of realism pictures, though DA doesn't really see them. Mostly in animals, which is why I'm more comfortable with them.

I don't think it'd be my career, either. Maybe a side career of someone who makes crappy, underground comics. xD

I love crap! Its like totally one of my favourite things ever!^^

Yeah, I took some classes, but I never really got anywhere with them.

Also, taking an anatomy class will help me with what I want to do (Police Officer) because anatomy counts as a medical kind-of credit (well, it doesn't count persay, it just looks good^^), and you have to be somewhat medically oriented to become a police officer.

Also, getting my Eagle Scout Badge will raise me like a rank in the Police Officer stuffs, so I need to get that this summer (because I turn 18 next Feb! !) and you cant get your Eagle once you're past 18!

Oh yes, I could imagine.
I think learning things in one area can really help whatever you want to do next. Like art has taught me a lot in many areas, even isn't something I want to do as a career.

Yeah, my sister's ex-bofirend was going to get his Eagle Scout's badge, but he can't because he needed to do a few months charity work (or something like that), but he'll be eighteen by the time he completes it. Which would suck. xD

But I think being ranked Eagle Scout would really look good for doing police work.
