Today was Valentine's Day and you, having no one to spend it romantically with, was in the comfort of your home. You sat on the couch, leaning your face onto your fist, staring half-lidded at the TV screen before you.

You were watching some stupid romance comedy that you had forgotten what the name was. Just for fun, you picked up the remote and threw it at the TV. It turned off the TV and you tilted your head back and groaned. Who knew Valentine's Day could be so boring?

You stared at the ceiling, searching for an answer to kill your boredom. You suddenly was sprung with an idea that will not only kill your boredom, but make you feel more alone than you already felt. 'Better than nothing.' You thought. You sighed, getting off your couch to get your purse and your keys and walked out the door.

You arrived to your destination. You were currently downtown and was looking at all the decorations that adorn the local buildings and streets. You watched couples holding hands and staring lovingly into each other eyes. You scoffed, averting your gaze to windows of shops advertising chocolates, candies, and jewelry.

You were passing by a jewelry store until your (e/c) orbs saw a locket. It wasn't any locket; it was a silver encrusted locket with a small heart-shaped diamond in the center.

You were not really into jewelry like that, but you would still buy some cute necklaces from time to time. You softly pressed your hands to the glass as you look frantically for a price tag of some sort.

You spotted a little card beside the necklace that said, "SOLD OUT" Immediately feeling down, you sighed taking your hands away from the glass, taking one last glance at the locket, continued your way downtown.

You stopped by a local cafe, took a booth by a window inside and order a (C/F). You sighed once again, this time feeling a lot lonely than before. You focused your gaze on your beverage before hearing a familiar voice.

"Is zat jou, (Y/n)?"

You looked up and saw your best friend, Ludwig. You smiled up at him. "Hey, Ludwig! What are you doing out today?"

Ludwig softly smiled. "I could ask jou zhe same question." He said taking a spot in front of you. You laughed lightly. "Ok, but really. What are you doing out here?"

"Well, I was hanging out vith Kiku and Feli vhen we got separated in zhe crowd. Have jou seen zhem?"

"Sorry, I haven't. I've been alone all day." You smiled sadly. "Hey, do you want to hang out with me for a while?" You asked, desperate to have a companion.

"...Um, I don't know..." Ludwig said, rubbing the back of his neck, averting his gaze. "Come on, please~?" You pleaded. Finally, Ludwig gave in. "Fine, fine, fine. Only a little vhile..."

You happily dragged Ludwig out of the cafe, paying first, and made your way downtown once again. You two had loads of fun, stopping through stores, eating sweets, and simply enjoying each other's company. It was now sunset and you and Ludwig was on top of a hill, looking down at the town.

The mood was light and setting was great. The sky was a mixture of periwinkle, pink, a warm orange. It was lovely. You smiled, enjoying all the fun you had today. And now the day was descending down to a tranquil night.

You pulled out of your thoughts when you heard Ludwig say, "(Y/n)..."

"Hmm? What is it Ludwig?" You said, turning your gaze to your male German friend. His head was down, causing a shadow to cover over his eyes. "...Valentine..." He mumbled.

"What was that? I didn't really hear you." You said, raising an eyebrow. He lifted his head up enough for you to see a blush adorn his face. "I said, vill jou...be mein...Valentine?" He asked, nervously. You had a shocked look on your face before you smiled broadly. "Of course I would, Luddy~!"

Ludwig snapped his head your way with a look of pure shock. You giggled at the face and soon Ludwig laughed along, too. After your laughter died down, Ludwig still wore a smile on his face as he reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a black box with a creamy white ribbon tied on top.

He then gestured the box to you, which you took into your hold gently and carefully. You opened the box, revealed was the locket from the store earlier. You gasped. "Ludwig, how did you-"

"I bought zhat for jou; I actually came to town today to buy jou a present." He said smiling, blushing slightly. "Aww~! That's so sweet, Luddy~!" You took the locket out of its box and handed it to Ludwig. Understanding you gesture, he took the locket into his hands and put the locket around your neck.

You looked down at the locket and smiled widely. You felt large hands grip your (s/t) face and then soft lips capture your own. You were shocked at first, but then started to kiss back with passion. You both continued to kiss each other before Ludwig pulled away. Panting heavily, you both leaned your forehead together enjoying the sweet moment together.
