This image made me join DeviantArt so that I could comment on how much I loved it. Great work fallenZeraphine. I might even read the book, now.

Beautiful. The whole emotion of those 2 planets (I believe the larger one is a planet and the planet on which you are standing and the smaller object are moons of it) is really coming together in combination with the desert. I wish earth had more than one moon, because the nightsky would look much more spectacular!

Really like the ambient feel of this, don't see many Terragen 2 pieces anymore, seems all the cool kids are using Vue 2.

Why are the planets textureless?

they do indeed have surface features, but are covered by their extremely thick atmospheres....

hey no need to say sorry, I actually did it to mostly reduce the render time

I understand, render times are sometimes a real pain, that's why I usually just do the planets all in PS, although it is true that renders from a dedicated 3D apps look better...

Absolutely, Most of the time I create the planets and everything on PS, but Terragen 2 is a joy to use, give it a try

I've heard about Terragen, but from what I heard, it's really hard to get into. Am I mistaken?
Anyway, I'll give it a try...
