Snow

Loki sat, feeling the icy ground numb the bottom of his paws. Tiny flakes drifted down around them, dappling their pelts and icing their noses. Jade's scent had began to fade...drifting off in the wind. Their mother had left them...as usual, to hunt. But more and more frequently, the boys found she took longer to return to them. Of course, the pair never bothered to question her. Loki shuffled closer to Cody, feeling the white pup's thick fur press warmly against his shoulder. Twisted his head, the youngest pressed his forehead against his kin's cheek. "She is taking a long time..." he whimpered. Cody leaned against Loki's touch, his breath billowing out in soft clouds. "Don't worry. She will come back."

"She always comes back...."

My precious boy's winter MSE. Although they are both so far from one another, winter brings back the same memories. They were both winter pups, and towards the tail end of the month, Jade's behavior continued to grow more and more odd. It doesn't take long for the two to notice and begin to speculate...

But at least they have each other.

PS. I know their fangs aren't present in this drawing, they don't actually become prominent until their early juvenile days c:
