Description "The old beast awoke at sunrise and, not to his surprise, she was there, waiting to lead him outside.
He felt the breeze was warm and fresh, though, blind he could not see the world he was to leave.
She took him far along the trail, glum emotion from ear tip to tail,
'til they reached a mound, rugged, barren and scattered with bones, a place where only souls were found.
There they sat from dawn 'til dusk, though having had one last meal, his form soon turned to husk.
Another had parted from her clan and dismay she felt,
as she watched, as the night drew in and his spirit slipped away."

Bigger and better to top this piece? Now that will be something to see! ItΒ΄s true there are time lapses between your uploads, but when they come they are something which lasts, like this picture and the story behind it... It couldnΒ΄t take so little to make either.

love the way you've done her fur (it's becoming a sort of obsession with me now on how folk do the fur) and sort of rheumy eyed effect for "the beast"
now it makes me wonder who she is and how she came across the beast ^w^

Urg, lol, I can never decide how to do fur. Tends to depend on the whole pic style I guess, this was mostly in Painter, with its lovely easy colour blending Glad you like it this way! Who's fur style do you like best, outta interest? Quite partial to the semi-cel-shaded kind myself, like err, Shadow-Wolf's. Never could get the hang of it myself though ._.

Anyways, as I spend far too much time designing characters & none on developing them, all I have for her so far is that she's from a mountain clan who can tame cold-blood beasts. Not gotten round to the science of it yet. Like ya do >_> Big thanks for the fave! :3 Always appreciated!

I should draw more dragon-types, they should be so much more wrinkly than this one Glad you like the text, I'm hoping it'll help better both types of creativity if I can try to write something similar for future pics! I used to like doing descriptive texts, not very long, but just things like conjure a scene in my head and try put it down in words I don't like stories with too much speech in them, if I could I'd write a novel with nothing but descriptions! xD Just one of those things ya never get around to doing though -_-

i know the feeling. i try to do the same but most of the time when i get the ideas is either in the middle of the night and i fall back asleep, or when i dont have a way to write it down and i forget

I dunno, but don't you feel that the heads of your characters are slightly too big in comparison to the body. I mean look at the ear. For a normal fox, that ear is of normal proportion, but here it is just a bit too big. It makes her look unsteady

lol! Actually she's a maned wolf... so I suppose the only part of her that's anatomically correct is the ears An art teacher once told me I do heads too small, I guess nowadays I'm overcompensating xD Mreh, quickie pic, but I shoulda used refs. Hurrhurr.
