This was meant to be the cover of the fic actually, he sent me a message saying he'd use it until he found a new one through a "cover art contest".

That is really a shame, this piece captures the essence of the story perfectly. Perhaps he just too the twilicorn news even harder then me (if that is possibly) but the story stopped updating mouths before that became known so that can't be it.
