👍: 0 ⏩: 1

EyeOfTheKat In reply to andersvolker [2016-08-11 21:04:19 +0000 UTC]

Der Standpunkt ist bereits am Anfang des Kaiserstuhls. Genau, danach kommt die Rheinebene und hinten sind die Vogesen.
War Frühling, Ende März. Und ja, ein sehr klarer Tag - Glück gehabt.

This is a lovely shot.  I especially like that the hdr is very subtle.  It's brought out great detail without feeling overdone.

Hey there! Thank you for submitting to   for feedback!

I like this new hdr of yours even more!
First of all the colours are really good. And the front layer is just amazing! And it has a really nice perspective which you made with colours

Since you submitted for feedback, here is a suggestion for you:
On my personal taste it's a bit static. If you want to try to make it 'move' a bit more, i can suggest you two ways:
- Remove a bit of details from the clouds above the mountain chain by using a mask with some more or less transparent colour. Maybe you would like also try to create a fake long exposure in photoshop (but there is no need of overdoing it of course!) and mask it if needed.
- The other way is to remove even more details between mountain chain and the front layer, to make it more… foggy, blurry maybe, towards the direction of horizon. So you would increase the feeling of perspective even more.
Maybe you would like both at the same time There are plenty of possibilities to play

But i should definitely say what this picture has a 'life' in it already and my suggestion is only on increasing this feeling if you feel so as well

Anyway, I'm glad to see you are continuing doing so nice pictures and waiting for your new ones!

I hope this helps, and if you have questions, please ask!

Thank you so much again for your feedback! I am very happy you see improvement and like my new hdr.

Sorry, for the late response, but trying to do what you suggested was quite complicated for me until I was happy.

But I like the end result very much now.

What do you think?

(I hope you can see a difference in the clouds and background.  I tried to keep the front very much the same but trying to have a bit less harsh contrast and smooth the way to the back out and get less details in the clouds. I also cropped the picture ab bit to get a better focus by the rule of thirds and get rid of the dark cloud part ob the very top.)

No need to bother! I like you take a time to do the picture the way you like I'm doing it sometimes days in a row till i like the result

Wow, i like what you did there a lot! Totally worth the time imho
The clouds are so light right now but they still do have the shape and the colour in them
and the feeling of perspective is awesome here.

I really like what you've done here

About the rule of thirds - it's a thingie one can expand or to move, depends on the impact you want to bring.
I'd say this dark part of the clouds made the photo more moody. I kind of liked that too
Right now it's very light and more… happy i'd say, which is also a cool impact.
Like i see two different photographs only cos you cut out a tiny part of dark clouds

Thank you!   I am happy you like the changes so much!

I was also surprised how much this little bit of clouds change the overall feeling of the picture. I decided I go with the happy version, I like that even more.
