Did some minor tweaking of Conner Kent's Superboy design for my Elseworld Universe.

In this Elseworld Universe the teen now known as Kon-El/Conner Kent is the second attempt by Lex Luthor to create a clone of Superman after the initial attempt resulted in the creation of the megalomaniac pseudo Kryptonian that calls himself Zod. To prevent a similar fate from befalling the creation of this clone as did the first, Luthor uses his connection to the government funded scientific research agency Project Cadmus to manipulate their genetic research team into aiding in this task.

The Cadmus scientists’ solution to the errors from Luthor's own cloning process is to halt this clone's growth at adolescence as well as mix human DNA with the Kryptonian DNA of the clone to insure a more stable and viable clone. Luthor volunteers his own DNA in a vain attempt to insure that this clone would owe allegiance to Luthor himself as well as any cause he deemed the clone necessary to achieving. The Cadmus scientists were successful in creating the stable and viable clone, but due to the mix of Luthor's human DNA into his genetic makeup, his yellow sun derived Kryptonian abilities were diluted compared to those of Superman's or Zod's. He has the metahuman abilities that both have but at half the power level that they , as well as Supergirl, possess.

Despite this Luthor decides he will use the young clone as a weapon in his efforts to humble and destroy Superman. By way of technicians covertly in his employ working at Cadmus, Luthor is able to have the clone implanted with subconscious programming that would make him compliant to Luthor's will and agenda. The young clone is initially a loyal servant to Luthor enforced by the fact of Lex informing the clone that the human DNA he has is his own, thus making Luthor his “father”. But despite his programming and Luthor's manipulation of facts in regards to Superman, during the months that he engaged both Superman and Supergirl in combat seeking to destroy them both, the young clone could not help notice the over all heroic nature of the two alien born champions in their encounters safeguarding civilians against harm and began to question his mission and true purpose in life.

With the aid of both Superman and Supergirl, the young clone is eventually able to break free of his programming and chooses not to simply be a living weapon for Luthor eventually allying himself with who he now deems his “true blood” : Superman. Superman and Supergirl embrace the young clone into their fold. Kal-El gives the young clone the Kryptonian name of Kon-El and makes him an official member of the House of El due to having Kal-El's DNA. Kon-El adapts the civialian alias of Conner Kent, another young cousin to Clark Kent as well as the hero code name of Superboy.

Like Clark and Kara, Conner wears a watch with Kryptonian tech that rearranges the molecules of any attire he wears into his Superboy costume and changes back to it's original state when he wishes to resume his Conner Kent identity.
