Description A small revision from the original tumblr version  though I guess I updated the tumblr version too now. The old copy was a little messy.
Been experimenting with shading styles lately and trying to get looser work. Also a shift back to BW works simply because I am more comfortable with them.

Looks fantastic!
Yes, go for the loose shading style if you concentrate too much on detail you'll end up like me (my hair half torn from frustration trying to make every detail look perfect and ruining everything in the process).
That's why I'll have to return to practice and forbid myself using any tool to softly blend colors.

thanks uwu I guess I dunno, been slightly unhappy with my style again lately so I'm working on shifting the stuff around and all that. It's certainly been interesting and I can't say there hasn't been any fails buuuuuuuut it's also been fun haha

I know how you feel. I'm currently unhappy with my style too.
How do you break away from your usual routine?
That's sometimes very hard for me.

hmmm i suppose for the sets I've been doing and posting for the last month or so on tumblr, I got a new brush pack and was like let's find some new stuff I'm comfortable with and tried to play with as many cool looking brushes as possible with them. The current shading style I have now came from switching up my usual process, not using a base tone, drawing in a different order, etc.
