I really like the colour scheme. Did you use a blue canvas for the background or did you edit it afterwards?

Cheers! The digital equivalent of a blue canvas, as provided by a nearby laptop monitor. If you have a tablet, you can get some pretty neat effects though glass, with the tablet screen just out of focus (especially with oils and other liquids on the glass).
