Something about her makes me want to have a long conversation with her about her experiences, her memories - she seems like the women of Cadaques Dali can't stop talking about.

Beautiful use of composition and colour. The way the figure seems to be sitting, innocent and helpless, particularly supported by her elderly age and wheelchair, conveys quite the curious, surprised effect in relationship with the character's surroundings.
The figure seems to be in the middle of this barren plain of brick and slate. The execution of this implication is very strong and I feel as if it makes the piece the intriguing, amusing scene that it is.
With the way she simply sits there with that look on her face, it becomesΒ very evident that the woman is quite intrigued by her own surroundings.
The very high contrast between the character and the scene creates a strong sense of attention to the figure as well as creating a powerful, dynamic apparel to the overall image. Paired with the dead-centre composition, the look of the image is reinforced substantially, bringing out the innocent, helpless feel of isolation the character towards her situation whilst creating a visually powerful apparel.
The sense of being put in this perplexing scene is heightened by the lovely patch of distinctly brick-like texture that seems to fade away, reinforcing the enveloping feel of the strange setting and the way it isolates the figure.
The strange setting of the bare landscape leaves the audience to question the scene.
But, it's so strange because there's nothing there, it seems.
That strange sense of void again is very perplexing and highly intriguing.Β It does indeed hold a very sophisticated air around it; what could be outside of the image's frame, what is the character exactly looking at, and, possibly most importantly, why is she there?
All of these questions, the audience is left to guess, but nevertheless, that amusing depiction of curious isolation leaves a very distinct mark of intrigue and impact.
Simply beautiful use of composition, colour and matter to convey that sense of space and void around the innocent, surprised look on the character. The fact that she is rather elderly reinforces this effect very nicely; I can't stress how intriguing such an ideal character has made the image.
Awesome shot!
