Update: I've shrank the picture, otherwise people might as well just print off the version and not get any prints if they want a bigger, clearer picture..Print version has no watermark.
What started out as a gift art intention for someone on deviantart ended up in me drawing my own characters “Clara” and “Keith” from my own comic “The Forgotten Chronicles”. I spent a few hours drawing the basic sketches inking it and scanning it in. Then I spent another few hours improving the outline so it looks better, and then spend the whole 9 hours colouring it.
I feel this is the best artwork I have done so far in 2007, and I am quite satisfied with the outcome of the picture after it’s been completed.
Advanced critique is appreciated from people who can draw much better than this.

Howdy! First of all, I don´t consider my drawing style to be better or worse than others... I guess that, among skilled artists, the divission is pretty blurry, and the beauty resides in the eye of those who watch it. But I digress, I wanted to give you an advanced ciritque on this piece ^^
Let me say just one thing: Great job!
Seriously ^^ The "loneliness" that this piece gives is absolutelly well executed. It leaves a lingering feeling of anguish, but mixed with an strange sense of beauty that results on a hearth touching image. The anathomic proportions are neat, and the colour palette chosen is perfect for the situation. I don´t know why, but this image makes me think about "Le Petit Prince" xD A simple, uncomprehended kid lost in a cold, indifferent world...
Anyway, this piece is a great job, and I congratulate you for making it so ^^ I don´t have any flaws in mind. Just suggestionst that could, perhaps, have added a little effect to the scene, like a bit more visible stars, or some leaves, petals or dandelions carried by the wind, as to accentuate the "movement" feeling of the image, but thats about it. Just a matter of preferences ^^
Anyway, great job, really! ^^

It's beautiful and soft.
The glowing heart is really lovely and shows the brokenheartedness, along with the tears.

This is an awesome piece of work you got there, the girls posture and expression is amazingly well done and the background suites very well with it too . I cant think of anything to say about it cause its so breathtaking

It's a beautiful image. The use of light and shading is fantastic, and I adore the pose and how you've drawn the cat. The pink and purple colour scheme give it a lovely mood too. Great work, keep it up.

Lovely work with this, I must say! The color scheme that you have here suggests to me both a surrealistic and twilight setting; the tone of these colors just seem to spark my subconcious. The details in the robe are quite beautiful, and the lines are so graceful and delicate. I also feel that this is the best work you've done so far in 07. Keep it up!!

hmm.. her hair seems to imply that the wind is blowing in her face.. yet the grass is blown to the right, except that bit in the foreground where it is being blown to the left. and her tears aren't affected by the wind at all. the blue braids seem too unnaturally lifted by the wind =/
other than that, this is quite a lovely work
