Description
Quick one, maybe a little bit over an hour. Some kind of a monstrous faerie or something. Used a number of pencils on this as usual. I should invent a name for this faerie race.Related content

Your depiction of males is very interesting, I love how the muscles are contorted in the forearms.
The shattered wings make him very sinister too.

Whenever I want to draw a strong and sinister and evil and whatever looking creature, I find that drawing it a male makes things a lot easier. It's so hard to draw females that look like that. Torn wings are so awesome that I wonder why I don't draw them more often.

Yeah, females are pretty hard to get an evil aura around. I find that the face would have to be the most usefull and suggestive tool for doing so. Using cruel, unforgiving and predatorial eyes definately changes the way a female character looks. Rosso the Crimson from FFVII

Yup, I kinda think that way too. With females one has to create the evil look with the eyes and facial expression unless one wants the girl to look ugly. Males on the other hand can look very cool while still being twisted and cruel looking.
