I like this picture a lot. But the original background through the window was so hard to get rid of because the original was so big! XD I think I did okay with it, though.
Glad you like it, too. Photomanipulation is so fun. Its also one of my favorite types.

And the song, especially since it's from Muse, rocks my socks.
Do you listen to them? If not, you should ^///^ I could give you a long list of songs, actually.

Speaking of which, that link you gave me to 'The Scientist' wouldn't connect...
I would have told you earlier but I totally forgot. Lol.
Also, what type of music do you like? I know you like Evanescence and such, but you can never be too sure when assuming.

Talk to you soon!

It wouldn't connect? Damn it... that's dA corrupting my links!!

Anyway, I'll send you another note to it.

Regarding my musical taste... well, you know I LOVE Evanescence *screams and shouts as a mad* , and bands like Within Temptation, Nightwish, but I also like celtic music; I love Loreena McKennitt's work.
Ummm.. whatelse, whatelse... Oh! Of course! I love ballad/pop singers, such as Luis Fonsi, Mariah Carey, Alejandro Sanz...
Also artists like Josh Groban, Alessandro Safina...
What can I say? I'm into all kinds of music.

I'm gonna check out some Muse songs, I've got some friends that also listen to it...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Exangeline In reply to AlexDewain [2007-07-10 01:39:33 +0000 UTC]

Haha.
Okay. This is my disection of your music taste:
I love Within Temptation's "The Silent Force" and "Heart of Everything" albums.
(I'm not too sure about "Mother Earth" since I haven't really explored that one too much.)
Celtic music is gorgeous. Any type of Meditation music is gorgeous. Yanni is nice, as is Enigma.
Nightwish is just incomparable. As is Evanescence. I love Amy Lee, I love Tarja. I also love Christina from Lacuna Coil.
If you haven't heard them, you should check them out. They're like the other bands but... different?
XD I don't know how to explain it.

Mariah Carey scares me. I barely ever listen to the radio anymore, with fear that she would come on and I would have a heart attack! I kid, of course - I haven't heard enough of her music to pass judgement, since the thing about the radio is true, but only because they play the rap stuff ALL the time.

I could have SWORN I have heard Alejandro Sanz from somewhere. There was a period of time where I was obsessed with Chayanne, a spanish singer (Please, god, don't ask about the Chayanne obsession) and had a look at other artists. They were muchly cool.

As for me... I LOVE Orchestra music. Instrumentals, acoustic, rock, metal, oldies (Dad's fault on that one), foreign languages (Japanese, Finnish, Dutch, Spanish, etc.) even some country. The only thing I horridly dislike is rap, with the exception of some of Linkin Park's more rap-ish songs and R&B, unless it's meaningful.

Okay, enough of my babbling.
The best Muse songs, in my opinion, are: Apocalypse Please (the one used in the exerpt of this artwork), Hysteria, Time is Running Out, Stockholm Syndrome, Map of the Problematique, Can't Take My Eyes Off You (you will laugh your ass of at that one, actually, its so awesome)... I can't think of anymore... Haha.
Tell me what you think.

Much love,
Ex

AlexDewain In reply to Exangeline [2007-07-10 02:12:23 +0000 UTC]

You should check out "Ice Queen", "Our Farewell", "Deceiver of Fools" and "Restless" from Within Temptation's "Mother Earth" album. Those are, I think, the best songs in that record.

I have full discography of Evanescence, Nightwish, Within Temptation and Lacuna Coil... all downloaded from eMule or Ares unfortunately... getting this kind of music in Argentina is nearly impossible.

Mariah Carey was cool at the 90's, in my opinnion, at the peak of her career. Songs like "Without You", "Hero" and "My All" are a must-listen if you're going to explore her music.

Regarding Ale Sanz, DEFINITELY YOU HAVE LISTENED TO HIM. Most known songs: "La fuerza de mi corazΓ³n", "Y si fuera ella", "Cuando nadie me ve", etc.

Jeez... I sound like a Wiki-babbler, but let's continue...

CHAYANNE OBSESSION!? My god... I MUST ASK! (Although he has some GOOD songs, such as "Y tΓΊ te vas", and his newest single, "Tengo miedo", he'll make you sick if you listen TOO many songs. )

Ok... now let's disect YOUR music taste:

Instrumentals: I love listening movie soundtracks! I recently got my hands in soundtracks of movies such as 300 & Casino Royale. It's so AWESOME to hear these musical pieces alone...

Acoustic: I believe it was Sarah McLachlan who had a beautiful acoustic song (piano only), called "Angel". If you haven't listened to it, then YOU SHOULD

Rock, metal: Already specified

Oldies: Yeah, my dad did the same on me. Elton John, Michael Bolton, are good singers of the genre.

Foreign Languages: Mostly Italian and Portuguese, and of course English That's what I've heard so far...

Country: I love LeAnn Rimes!!! She sings so beautiful songs...

Well, enough Wiki:babbling.

About Muse's songs... HOW COULD I MISS THESE SONGS!? I love them. Each and every one of them. Perhaps some inspiration comes down from them. Surely they will.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Exangeline In reply to AlexDewain [2007-07-10 02:35:16 +0000 UTC]

:] Muahahahaha.

I've listened to "Our Farewell", "Restless" (My first WT song ever - someone said it was an Evanescence song, so I downloaded it, haha. But then I realised it was Within Temptation and began to download more of there stuff.) and "Deciever of Fools." I'll check out "Ice Queen" for sure, then.

What's your favorite Lacuna Coil song?
And Nightwish?
And Evanescence (Haha... All of them, I'll bet)?

You have GOT to listen to ES Posthumus. Unfortunately, their music is nearly un-downloadable, so I might have to send you some songs via email. Or visit their website. They're my favorite instrumental band. You just MIGHT be able to get the song "Nara" which is the theme for "Cold Case" on Ares, I'm not sure. They're so creaking awesome, and they named all the songs in their album after famous, ancient cities. "Lepcis Magna" is one of the best, as is "Antissa" for it's strange, enchanting voice.

Haha. Chayanne.
I loved Chayanne to bits. I saw him live, when he came to Australia. Shelly and I listened to almost all of his stuff. I like his slow songs the best. "Sentada Aqui En Mi Alma" is the sweetest thing, as is "Y Tu Te Vas" (Which he also re-did in English). "Caprichosa" and the film-clip with it made me laugh so very muchly, as does most of his dancing.

Instrumentals: TONS of the movie soundtracks have ES Posthumus, like Spiderman 2, or something, used the song "Pompeii."
Acoustic: I like Tori Amos' "Silent All These Years" and "Losing My Religion (REM Cover)" although I'm not sure if they'll come under acoustic after all. Staind is an awesome acoustic band - "Outside" and "Epiphany" are great songs, but are also very sad.
Rock, Metal: Too many songs... too many bands! A Perfect Circle, which is partially acoustic, is also muchly awesome.
Oldies: I am totally and completely fond of Peter Gabriel. If you download anything here, please download the song "Mercy Street". It's dedicated to a poet, Anne Sexton, who commited suicide, and one of her poems, "45 Mercy Street". It's gorgeous. A lovely, lovely song.
Foreign Languages: Since I'm an anime nut, it's mostly Japanese. If you want the songs, then all you have to do is ask. They're just too many of them to list. Hah.
Country: Brooks and Dunn. Hands down. "Honky Tonk Truth" is the funniest song ever.

Ooh. I almost forgot. Listen to Imogen Heap and Frou Frou, technically the same person. Some people hate her, some people like her. I'm the second one. Muahaha. Her best songs are, in my opinion, "Headlock", "The Walk", "Hide and Seek" (Electronic, also very sad) and "Closing In". As Frou Frou, she did the re-make of "Holding Out For A Hero" that was on Shrek 2. That ones good, as well as "Shh" and "Let go".

Haha. You have a lot to download now.
And yes, Muse is an awesome band. I found most of their songs through watching Stargate Music Videos. Another thing that should not be asked about, also another obsession. It happens a lot... -_-' Haha.

Much Love,
Ex

Wow... Really I have THE LIST to download.

Although you may not believe it, I DID found and DOWNLOADED COMPLETELY the full E.S. Posthumus album. I love it from track 1 thru 11. Just AWESOME. I'm working on some audiovisual projects that involve these songs... yeah... viva eMule!!!

Favourites... Ummm... let's see:

- Lacuna Coil: it has to be "Heaven's a Lie", "Swamped", and most of the songs in "Comalies".

- Nightwish: "Wish I had an angel", "Nemo", "Wishmaster", "Sleeping Sun", and the list goes on...

- Evanescence: I love all their songs, but the ones I love the most are "Sweet sacrifice", "Call me when you're sober", "Lithium", "Bring me to life", "My immortal", "Hello", "Missing", "Cloud nine", "The last song I'm wasting on you"... etc.

My god... how could I forget Tori Amos!? After so many months of downloads... LOL...

STARGATE OBSESSION!? Well... I GOTTA ASK ABOUT THAT...
If you feel any better, I have a Star Trek obsession... God... It's gonna eat me! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!

Love you (no ideas to compite with your love now... LOL),
Alex.

You HAVE to do me a favor then.
Can I have Tikal... and the one starting with M.
They're the only two that I can't find. Limewire sucks ass.

As for my favorites...

Lacuna Coil - Heaven's A Lie, Swamped, Enjoy the Silence (Fantastic Cover of Depeche Mode), Tight Rope, To Myself I Turned, To The Edge, which is perhaps my favorite of all and probably Angel's Punishment, also.

Nightwish - Wish I had An Angel, of course, as it is the theme song for one of my books, Ever Dream, the theme song for another, Creek Mary's Blood, Ghost Love Score, Over the Hills and Far Away, She Is My Sin and Two for Tragedy, which is one of my favorites. Why? I have no clue. It just is.

Evanescence - God. Don't get me started. Eternal, the complete instrumental, is one of the most beautiful things I have ever listened to. I love almost ALL the songs on Origin, The Last Song I'm Wasting on You, My Last Breath, Lithium, The Only One, Sweet Sacrifice, Weight of the World, Snow White Queen, All That I'm Living For (Acoustic AND Full Rock), Your Star...

The list goes on and on and on. Technically, I do love them all. The Open Door just struck me, as I had previously read her problems in life and managed to symphasise with her tons.
But she is so sexy live. Honestly, the best concert I've ever been to.

Have you ever heard of POD?

Love you,
Ex

PS. Infinity plus one DOES exist, I swear.

I'm looking for "Tikal" and that with the "M"... (I can't remember its name... LOL), as soon as I have them I'll send them to your mail, OK?

Jeez... it seems that we both love Evanescence really much. I wanted to die when I couldn't be in Buenos Aires at the Quilmes Rock Festival. She was thereeee!!! I was at 720 Km. of her, the closest I've ever been...

I've heard some POD stuff... although I don't remember any song title... I think the lead singer made something with Santana once... don't know...

Love,
Alex.

PS. Infinity plus two DOES exist, then. LOL!!!

I saw her live. She's even better live than on CD.
She'll come around again, eventually. Probably after another new album or something.

POD sings a song that almost everyone knows - tis called "Alive". It's very good.
"Roots In Stereo" makes me laugh.

I had a friend who was at two meters of Amy, and she was going to glomp her, until she saw the security guys... Too bad, it would have been so much fun...

BOMB hahahaha...

Here at Ezeiza International Airport security is so..."safe" LOL... Fine, they catch a few drugdealers once in a while, but emmm... let's just that security is money-handled (a.k.a. "I give you 3.000 bucks, you turn a blind eye...", etc.) But I guess that happens anywhere.
