Description
This is one of Suci 's parents not sure which I couldn't tell. We were waiting for Suci to get out of her mud bath and so we decided to go to the next enclosure to see what was supposedly her daddy. Next thing we know it stomps, charges, and snorts. There are only about 150-300 Sumatran Rhino's left in the world. Suci was the 2nd calf born at the Cincinnati Zoo.---

Yea its wonderful news. Suci is so cute she is the only rhino the keeper knows of that hates being dirty. She knows that taking a mudbath gets all the flies off....but after she soaks in the mud she goes over to the waterfall and cleans herself off.

This zoo happens to have the first sucessful breeding program in 112 years. No Sumatran Rhino had been born in captivity in 112 years. There are only 150-200 left in the whole world. This zoo is doing what it can to help this species. In fact Emi the mother is having her 3rd calf soon. Also please read this
