Welp, I wanted to redraw my Limelight picture but decided to do something different with it. My previous Limelight piece was all about feels. This one is about the song and some feels and this weird idea I had for a long time since the song Limelight was made. (Which BoyInABand, Cry... awesome job on the song/video still! ) Anyway, the idea... It came to me while drawing Virus and listening to the song at the same time. Now if we had a fighting game, aside from 's project, I'm talking about a fighting game where the sprites are drawn not the bit look. I had this cool thought that one of Cry's finishing moves is singing Limelight.

I'm gonna use Super Smash Bros Brawl as an example: Let's say Cry grabs the Smash Ball and activates it, Cry will summon BoyInABand to him and the two will hit off on singing Limelight, not the beginning of the song but at around... I guess the two minute mark? Near the climax of the song. This is an stage wide AOE, as the two sing a portal to one of the three worlds will open, dropping items onto the stage, mostly harmful items on opponents. Even Ellie, Clem and Elizabeth will appear to taunt then leave. Musical notes and that... score thing will cycle around Cry, lashing back at anyone that gets to close. At the end of it, the cyclone of notes will condense then cause a small explosion to push other fighters away from Cry.

I had this exact idea for a story, will I write it, I don't know, I'm far behind my current ones... stupid writer's block. Anyway, storywise in my head, this song will actually summon BoyInABand, Clementine, Ellie and Elizabeth to Cry. Cry cannot move from his summon circle, or lose focus on the song, otherwise the summon will break and the girls disappear. The girls, on the other hand, will go berserk on anything that's marked as an enemy by Cry. They are invincible and unable to be taken over as long as Cry and BoyInABand are singing. I'm talking about berserk as Clementine and Ellie will double team on the opponent with guns or melee weapons. Elizabeth will use her powers to summon anything to help, be it auto turrets to that giant ass bird to even dropping off weapons for Clem and Ellie. At the climax toward the end of the song, the girls will rejoin and shoot up toward the sky as beams of light then return to slam into the opponent like Flash Cannon from Pokemon.

There is a way to break the summon, obviously is to cause Cry to either move from the circle or disrupt the song. Doesn't have to be close range to work, long range as well, but remember, the girls will be protecting Cry, so there is a chance that will intercept the disruption and make you pay. Higher chance that they'll attack you if you attack Cry if you're not the primary target.

It sounds a bit OP in words, but its really not.

Two days! Well two and a half, would've been my two day mark if that stupid tornado watch/severe thunderstorm didn't rear its ugly head during the background making process! Then a bitch of time making the custom magic circle then even more so turning it into a brush.

I know... its a lot of green but I couldn't help myself... its just so shiny and glow-y!

Oh! the words... they're in Symbol... Cry says, "Game portal OPEN! LIMELIGHT!" the yellow ring is 'Game Portal' and the words on the Sup Magic Circle just repeat, 'Limelight'

I saw the pose and the little musical score thing and thought it was really cute, thought he was gonna do a spell with Limelight. Which I thought was just awesome, so I did it!

Don't get me wrong, I love BoyInABand and really wanted to add him here but... I'm not too confident in drawing him well enough in my style. Especially long straight hair, its just I don't know how to draw it without it looking like a block sitting on his head. Hard enough with Cry's hair, which keeps changing everytime I draw, still haven't found a style I like that's simple to draw.
