YAY ICELAND W00T ICELAND AWESOME ICELAND WEE ICELANDI LOVE YOU ICELAAAANNNDDDDD XD XD XD
...*coughcough* I started drawing this a while back, like beginning of this year. Been working on and off and to test out Corel Painter 11, I finally finished this! I poured my love to Iceland in this piece; the beautiful flag, land scape, and the nation flower Mountain Avens or Dyras Octopetala. But the most beautiful of them all is the country and the people them selves.
Been working a lot and the cool news is coming real soon!

I've not seen Hetalia before, but I'm tempted to look at it, since I'm seeing all of this stuff in it I'm like "Hmmm... dA has a lot of stuff for this anime......." So I'm gunna watching it....some day. DX

Naw you're not missing out TOO much. I only watched the first 3 or a bit more episodes before and I didn't like it TOO much. I just like to be part of the fan base since, well, I have to admit I love the fan arts for this series than the original artist and many other reasons. Of course, I'm not stopping you from what a lot of people are enjoying. Just my humble personal opinion. I just digg the whole "personified countries" concept!
Hetalia is based around the Axis Powers during the WWII's views, and it has been expanding its perspective a bit since it started.
There's a fellow DA artist who focuses on the Scandinavian countries and I enjoy her comics QUITE a lot! Totally recommend it:

yea I'm not a HUGE Hetalia fan anymore but the character design for iceland is just made with awesomeness! Gawd I so wished Himaruya would keep the original color scheme for him =_= *mumblecomplainmumble* I just think blue eyes suits him soooo much more!!
