Ohh I see, interesting. Cool he managed to survive the Greenskins! Oh yes, you told me about the RPG, Dark Milennium, isn't it? Lately I only read RPG books for the illustrations!
Wait, aren't Mordian guard those ultra tough guys with that very fancy uniform? They remind me of the classic argentinian soldier uniform LOL, they are called "grenadiers" Β www.informesynoticiascordoba.cβ¦

Ahaha, so great to have Grenadiers in 40k, the Lexicanum does state that their planet has very harsh conditions and strict regimes haha, that figures!
Yess, exactly, no one is good in 40k except the jolly orks of course Right, I got confused with the cancelled Dark Millenium. Deathwatch sounds like my cup of tea where I just want to rip and tear xD I played RPGs before, but they weren't memorable experiences, having a group of good friends that get into the mood is so important for it. On a 40k related subject, have you watched this? It has a bit of horror, a lot of fluff and also comedyΒ www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1cXYaβ¦
On a different subject, are you a fan of the Mad Max movies? I can't wait for the new one starring Tom Hardy! The trailer looks crazy!

Ahahaha, in a way, yes! The original Mad Max 1 and 2 had 100% real car crashes, some of them even weren't scripted and were real accidents!! Β (luckily all the actors lived).
It's also interesting to notice that it was the inspiration for other franchises like Hokuto no Ken (which inspired JoJo) and Fallout, and even Gorka Morka!!
Speaking of 40k in that last bit, I think you'll enjoy this fanart, I have no idea who the artist isΒ fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.netβ¦

Ah! It is nice to see them all together. I have seen the individual pics being posted up here, but darned if I can remember who posted them...!
I hope the new Mad Max film is fun. It certainly looks like it should be. You are a long-standing fan, then?

It is not for everyone. It depends what you want from your pics. You know I like me some realism (like Michael)!

Thank you! Reality/Lux are a real learning curve, but I am starting to be happier with the results. I hope you have the time to do some more art soon. I miss your stuff. We need more Magic Glen. X

Sort of. I read more of the books (because when I had a hobby shop near me, 40K was less RPG than miniatures game. I really *got* into it with the Gaunt's Ghosts series by Dan Abnett. I also read the "Drachenfels" book by Jack Yeovil back in the days of Warhammer Fantasy). To me, WH40K is like⦠Battletech. It's possible to play it as an RPG, but it will always remain a miniature game at heart.

Warhammer 40k is most certainly a miniatures game, but the lore is vast and there are now hundreds of books published by Black Library that all expand upon the Imperium and its history, and also the xenos races. It has created a very rich roleplay universe in which you can play a very diverse range of characters.
If you wanted to dip in again, I would recommend the Eisenhorn and Ravenor series by Dan Abnett. Those depict the sort of universe Dark Heresy - the first RPG in the series - is played in. The Inquisition lends itself much better to an RPG, in my opinion, than the Imperial Guard. Guard works pretty well if you are an elite unit with some autonomy, though.

Actually, I did read both the Eisenhorn and Ravenor books, and the "Riders of the Dead" by Dan Abnett (set in the WH Universe). I love me all things Dan Abnett. I wasn't that into "Riders of the Dead", to be honest. It just didn't grab me like the Gaunt's Ghosts series or the Eisenhorn books (I found Ravenor to be less interesting a Character than Eisenhorn also). I also read the Gray Wolf books by William King, and I have a duology set in the WH40K Universe also sitting on my massive "To be Read" pile.

That, I haven't seen. I thought William King's Gray Wolf series was pretty well written. The other one I have is for the Crimson Angels. I do kind of look forward to reading that one.

Ah, the adventures of Ragnar Blackmane! Who wrote Crimson Angels? I do not know that one. The Horus Heresy is worth a read too... Well, actually the first three books are well worth a read, and after that you have to pick and choose the good ones...Β Β

Blood Angels, not Crimson Angels. Sorry. And the author is "James Swallow".

Ah, yes. My personal perspective is that Marines should have more depth and better-rounded personalities than those James Swallow portrays, but it is not a bad series. I liked Brothers of the SnakeΒ much better for showing Marines as 'real' and believable characters.

There was also a "Lone Wolves" graphic novel, by Dan Abnett which I read. Also good. That was from the Library I work at. And a VERY long time ago I read a book which took place in the Maelstrom, in Chaos Space, with a merchant desperate for money who goes there and meets a man who sells him these⦠liquors. And one of his companions gets carried off and made into one of the liquors. Maybe⦠"Into the Maelstrom"? I'm not sure. It was a very long time ago.
