yeah, I went to wikipedia looking for more info about the movie and it turned out that itΒ΄s based on a comic! Well, not 100% sure but I think so.. maybe one should ask from someone at imdb.com? There you can find the answers

I looked, but IMDB says that Del Toro created everything, and it's not based on a book of any kind.

OMG!!! YESS! Pan's fanart! this makes me soo happy, i loved that movie i totally want to go see it again, its was just so beautiful (in quite a morbid way) but gosh woow!
