Nice Job! I was wonder where you got model with the landing gears up? Can you happen to share it?

Probably an issue is all the red tape the Initiative went through. I get the feeling having armed starships would've made that worse.

The Tempest and the Nomad were designed for exploration not military uses. And that's kinda the whole point of the Andromeda Initiative. If Andromeda's getting a sequel, maybe their will be a ship that serves multiple purposes, including thanix cannons. And maybe customize its looks.

[Not sure how to respond to two posts at once, but ...]
'Exploration not military uses' doesn't hold a lot of water. I get that was the whole premise of the Initiative as a civilian operation, and they would not have open access to military-grade arms and armor. My question remains - if the Initiative was so dead-set against violence, why bother devoting precious space to arms and armor or made use of trained military personnel aside from the Pathfinder? Even a lightly-armored ship might have fared somewhat better against the Scourge and even one thanix could prove useful maneuvering in asteroid fields.
As for the Nomad ... shields are fine, but I'd also like a little armor and at least one weapon for hostile space bears (and maybe the occasionally annoying kett camp).
Euderion has a point - Let both vehicles be customize-able. So if the player wants to buff defensive or offensive capabilities is personal choice.

Im not sure, the Thanix cannons were out there, when the Tempest was built.
But i must say, i like the fact, that she has no weapons. The Tempest is a science and exploration ship. More like a ship from NASA, ESA or SpaceX.
Sure, in the later game-parts, after first meeting with bad aliens, they had to made a option to armed the ship, like we have made it in Mass Effect 2.

Nice.
Tempest is on very short list of things I like in Andromeda.

I know the Tempest is no Normandy, but I think it's a nice ship. It's like the U.S.S. Enterprise of Mass Effect.

Sorry that the ship is even more useless than the Normandy SR-1, the Tempest is not even armed

Its a non-military scout and science ship bringing you very fast from one point to another. Sounds good to me. Priority of the Andromeda Initiative was colonizing and exploring new worlds, not conquering worlds.

The first contact war with the turians would have taught them the said first contact does not always have to run peacefully. And an unarmed ship is just a moving target

Wonder about the other pathfinder ships, they were destroyed when the nexus hit the scourge

I think there were from the same type. Just a bit interior change like the Ark-Ships.
