Description
When the Dominion forces invade the Kalandra sector, the opening salve was enough to destroy nearly every defense the federation have there. All allied fleets of starfleet, or klingons was sectors away, so the Dominion warfleet overrun most of the following worlds like Betazed, Orrellius and Rolor.
With control of this key Federation territory, the Dominion was in a position to threaten Vulcan, Andor, Tellar, and Alpha Centauri. For the Federation Alliance, suffering from shortages of ships and manpower, defeat now seemed only a matter of time unless the status quo changed. After the loss of Betazed, Captain Benjamin Sisko concluded that the Allies had to bring the Romulans into the war by whatever means necessary.
