Well drawing an official character can be a bit challenging at first, especially when it comes to capturing the face and expressions. With my characters I usually feel free to experiment since there's no pressure, and there's no risk of pissing off my watchers.
I'm starting to assume you've used Adobe Illustrator to come up with this drawing; is that true? If so, I can tell you how to use the paintbrush tool effectively along with scaling certain areas like the head and such. Honestly, this is the best drawing I've seen from you so far, but it still ain't amazing. You should try to refrain from using the line or arc tool so many times and go for smooth curves so your character won't look so stiff. For now it's okay, I used to use the line tool and arc tool often on characters, but I broke away from that after discovering a better method of drawing. I still use the line and arc tool on certain occasions, mostly on background designing. Just keep practicing, dude, and continue messing around with the software. You can also check out YouTube if there's anything you want to learn. Even I'm still learning how to use Illustrator to this day; there are still features I didn't even know exists.
I've been planning to draw Edward and Rodney eventually, so I'm going to do so this week. They actually seem simple to draw and I may take about an hour or two to draw both of them. After submitting a lot of artwork, I've noticed I can draw quicker than before.
