Thank you! ♥ Because it IS real, hehe. It's a photograph, the blue background comes from the sky reflection in my window.

How do you make your cat photos look so... magical? O_o
Like seriously, whenever I try to get some cool shots of my "men in black" it's a pain in the butt (not enough light for fast moving 5-month-old tigers).
Okay let me guess - professional and if not professional at least half-professional photography gear? Lots of lights and a studio? If not, I don't know. In that case you must have been to Hogwards. O_O

I use my trusty old semi-professional DSLR Canon EOS 450D and a kitlens and natural lighting. I don't have a studio (god I wish!) or nice external flashers that make your photos better instead of worse (like the standard build-in flash does). So for the best photos try taking pictures on bright days. For backgrounds you can use a plain wall or stuff like towels, blankets and huge sheets of paper to make it look more professional, and try getting the attention of your cats with a toy. Hope that helped. C:

I have a Nikon Coolpix P7100 which is kinda good I guess in bright sunlight... however when it's a little dark the photos have more and more noise in them. Problem is that I live in an appartement in the basement meaning we have like 30min of real sunlight coming in per day. :-/ I HATE using that build-in flash, since it makes the lighting just as awful as the facial expression of the cats.^^ I'll totally keep your advice in mind though, it does help a lot!
Lol, we tried to get their attention with a laser pointer but either they moved too fast while hunting it or they were uninterested in it ;D I'll try some "cat-candy" next time (they LOVE potatoes for some reason O_O and all the stuff that normal cats like of course...^^)
