I know what you mean...a lot of people only use Poser to render a scantilly clad bimbo with big breasts, with no attention to lighting, shade, texture or story, and then deem to call it art...the galleries are full of them (Look at Renderosity...the so called Art Charts there are a joke!!!) I resent it when other 3d artists dismiss Poser so easily when all they see are these boring efforts...I've always felt that Poser, with a little application and effort can deliver so much more, although I do use Cinema4d to render because it's quicker and so much more intuitive to use, and generally gives better results. I also do a lot of post work in Photoshop, which to be honest is my favourite part of the process, and where the picture really comes to life. Thanks for the kind words...

I'd say the experiment was a resounding success based on this.
The character has come up really well and the environment really highlights it.
