another great moment captured, you must have a quick-draw holster for your camera As you know, i don't like centered horizon lines to much, but I can see why it could not be avoided here, at least not without loosing the girls reflection. Still, my scottish ways do not allow me to give a fave here despite the great shot, also because I think the white balance is somewhat to blue-ish

Well, a near-fav, that is already quite something.
As to that quick-draw holster, I wish I had it. Sometimes the shutter lag just keeps me from succeeding as I wish. This time the girl fortunately just stayed long enough ...
Yes, the colour is somewhat blueish. I did not work on it, as I tend not to do that.

I don't think you shoudl restrict yourself THAT much, a traditional film photographer has his tricks too in the darkroom, so it would in no way be a foto manipulation, just careful digital darkrooming

I shall give it a thought in another case. This time I must add that I like that blueish effect.

I like the light catching the buildings and highlighting them... do they bungy jump frpm that tower? Now go inside before you catch cold!

Great you are so very positive about the shot.
Yes, they seem to do bungy jumping from that tower at some time of the year, but I do not know when ... I would not do it anyway; I must admit I did not even dare to climb that tower with that outside sort of stairs! My hight fright just kept me from it. A pity, but could not be helped.

My calendar in the kitchen has the yech, inspirational message, yech.... know your limits but never stop trying to exceed them.. yech... probably good advice... now wheres that parachute?

Good calendar! Very wise message!
And good luck with the parachute! I shall keep looking from below. Or perhaps rather not: I just could not even stand looking, I suppose ...

Great you like the shot, and many thanks for the fav. It did actually not become a fav, as it does not appear on my favlist. Probably you forgot about it, or once again some bug went round at DA. But I do appreciate your intention. Only that is really important!

I recognised it on the thumbnail already.

Nice shot, the colors in the reflection look nice.

Yes, you would know the place!
I am not altogether happy with the shot, to say the truth. The pier should have been situated a bit higher, so to say, not to overlap with the childΒ΄s head. Fortunately the reflection is ok. You cannot have everything. And as I loved the scene, I did submit the shot after some hesitation.

This is good. The colours, the overall concept... The perspective is funny, the little girl doesn't look very 'little' here.
