I am not one for cities, being a self-described "country mouse" (elevators scare me), but seeing this almost makes me want to move into town... if it could be this town. It just looks so peaceful and gorgeous.

It is a very beautiful place, that Honfleur is. But you should keep to the country side nevertheless. It is far too crowded. We were lucky to be there in early April, but I would hate it in the rest tourist season, I think.

Sorry to be so late again: great you like this view so much. It was taken from the hill-side above Honfleur. As you can see from this shot, Honfleur has quite a hilly back-country.

this is a true masterpiece I long to see this blown up to a big size print to appreciate all the details. Such a wonderful scene, perfect composition, wonderful layers that create a sense of depht, strong contrast between black and white without looking even the slightest bit of detail anywere.

And to get this view out of my bedroom window. We were so lucky, first to get this appartment! And then to have this kind of weather!

And to imagine that I took it out of our bedroom window! Yes, we were very lucky with our appartment in Honfleur, simple, small, but the house most beautifully situated at the side of a hill.
