Description I paint over canvasses that I rescue from the sophomore and junior painting classes, who trash everything (). This means almost all my work is hiding awful images of naked geezers, pudgy women, and recent grads with multiple pierces and tats. Think on that as you look at this painting. There's a naked lady somewhere under there. Yep.

...Naked.

It's my dream to sell a whole bunch of small canvases with flowers painted over them to little, old, ultraconservative, religious grandmas to hang on their living room walls.

Beautiful!! I absolutely love this painting. The crosshatch gives it so much character. Did you do it with a brush?

I just wish the image was bigger so I could see all the wonderful details. Also, lol at your comment

Thanks for the comment. I use a rubber chisel for the lines, actually. And then I wait forever for the layer to dry. These aren't paintings you can procrastinate on a deadline with.

I had never heard of a rubber chisel before. Very interesting. When I want the layer to dry quickly (which is rare, I love that I can keep working on the same layer over and over with oils) I use liquin or somekind of quick drying medium. When you have a close deadline it's pretty good.

I love the colors here. They're very beautiful; they make the eyes light up upon looking. This is gorgeous.
