Yes, she was taller and, if you notice, her wings are simiar to her adult wings, unlike Dash, who had little wings like Scootaloo.

Maybe, because Cadence seems to be like a slightly bigger and more powerful pony, but she's as tall as Shining Armor and, with their magic mixed, they defeated Chrisalys (Did I write her name right?).
Maybe Celestia and Luna are a different kind of Alicorn, because they're very old and they look very young, as well that their size and power are superior.
