I don't even know.
My friend ~crazy-rainbow-starr gave me the prompt 'rain' for Sherlock fanart and this is the first thing that popped in my mind.
THIS WAS HAARRDDD. This is my second sai piece, so I was still figuring it out. I definitely used photoreference for his face and hand (my hands aren't ideal so I don't think it really helped).
CRITIQUE/TIPS WOULD BE VERY APPRECIATED.
There are many flaws...
I might work on this more later, but I'm pretty done for now.

Firstly, I love John's expression. Pretty much perfect in my opinion.
The hand seems out of perspective, I can see what you're trying to do, but I think it's a little too far forward, also the arm appears to be by his side, when it should be out. Another suggestion is to use varying brushes with the grass, for example instead of using /only/ 5 strokes have 2 strokes, one stroke etc.
