This is my favorite Erika drawing of all time. Having the privilege of knowing her for like 8 years, I've been able to see how much she's grown artistically. I feel like this picture is a beautiful example of what you can do with years of practice, and now she can flip through her portfolio and look at the physical reward for all of her hard work.

Incredibly detailed, with all the patterns and folds and beads and that small blue tear in the corner of her eye and the white gel pen patters on the scarf - I can hardly take my eyes off of it!
And I adore the colours you chose for this
I love the pose and the way the scarf adds to the movement and fills in the space

The colors are great and work well with each other, and the attention to detail is inspiring. The movement, the color, the emotion... this picture pulls you into her world and you can't help but imagine being a little girl listening to her mother sing and dance.

Very nice use of marker. I wish I could get clean lines like that the first time around. I always have to start in pencil & go over/erase several times.
