Oh, how beautiful! I have some of those growing in my flower bed; they're a truly dazzling species of flower, but it's a shame they wilt so fast. I tried to get some macro pictures of them, but I think the color wavelengths are too strong for my camera, as the hues were uneven and it didn't quite pick up the shadow like it should. I use a Nikon D50. xD And yes, I did have my camera's aperture pretty low.
Anyways.. that purple border goes very nicely with the photograph. Good framing, too; the green off to the side only makes it pop out more.

I had to watch my plant every day until it peaked. Yup...it was a pain, but I'm fairly pleased with the photos.
