Description Photo of Chriso when she was little and which inspired me, or lets say got me hooked on photography.
Thanks Chriso and thank you for introducing me to Deviant Art.
Photo taken in our garden just before we left South Africa. She just woke up and was very sad to leave her home.
This is a photo of framed photo, thus the not so good quality..

I just love the look on her face, like she is deep in thought. I was reading some of your messages, and just wanted to say family is important but sometimes we loose touch. I lost one brother to a brain aneurysm and I have another that is living but steeped in alcohol he is hard to reach unless sober for a time...very sad.

Thank you for your comments dear Karen. I have also lost a brother to whom I was very close. His loss left the entire family scarred as he was only 8 years old. I was 10 at the time and very confused about loosing him. My other brother lives in South Africa, but I have Sophia and her daughter Nicole and we are very close...

It is always hard to loose someone, but as long as we remember and honor them the we have not lost them altogether.

Time has been the biggest healer in my case. Thanks Karen

So true I think time is one of the greatest healers, we must go through the grief of loosing someone but time does heal.

After just commenting on the photo of the grown up version of this adorable little girl, I feel a sense of connection and wonderful knowledge. Three years ago I left my parents home to live in another state. I miss my little sister the most, as she still lives with my parents.

Don't you stay in touch at all?

Royce-Barber In reply to erene [2007-10-28 06:40:34 +0000 UTC]

I really wish I could say yes to that question. I would love to stay in contact with my little sister... But like me, she doesn't maintain long distance communication very well. I talk to her friends maybe a few times a year, but as for her... Only when I visit Washington on Christmas. I would really go out of my way to talk with her if she wanted that... But she is a high school girl and has a lot going on in her life. She doesn't seem to have a lot of room for me.

That is very sad Royce....I hope that someday she would realize her mistake. I have a great relationship with my brother and my sister and that means a great deal to me. My brother is in South Africa, but I call him, or email him and look forward to seing him in December....
