I feel so lucky to have found this old guy..he was actually parked in a back alleyway loading area, which I spotted from about 3 stories above it and had to find a way down to it (it was below street level)
Never quite sure about year or make of these models, but i'm pretty sure it was an old Chevrolet
And as sexy as the lighting was here, it was a really tricky car/scene to compose (was about to go look for the owner and ask if he could park it better
). Took well over 35 shots and until my battery died trying to get it 'right'. Just love these old cars!

I hate when you find a great subject but you can never seem to do it justice. I think you probably did the best you could with the lighting and composition. I don't know how I feel about the color tone, it seems almost too yellow, more like a toned B&W print than a true color print. It may be that there aren't very many dark darks in the shot.
I don't know how you feel about this picture yourself, but it seems like it must have been a frustrating shoot for you.

The angle is sleek and you definately captured its Sexy Side.
The one thing that bugs me though, is the light above the car's hood.
It draws my attention there instead of on the car.
But besides that

Well I hate recieving comments which are all like "i hate this i hate that"
So I do not like this I find the composition boring... I look at the image and all I see is a car not a photograph
Like i admire the creativity of the angle and lighting and the choice of toning. Still I find it a bit dull compositionally.

I respect that you find this dull, in fact it is a bit dull. but I am also glad that you say you only see the car when you look at it..that was the intent! I was trying to bring about an atmosphere of sorts, and have the car stand out as strongly as I could make it within that.
maybe if it had a hot girl or guy hanging on it you would dig it more? lol

well maybe about six months ago a hot girl on the bonnet of the car would have worked for me
but thankfully I think I am starting to mature a bit!
