[ She looked so sad, for someone to be married.. ]

--

I have a thing for manikins in street store windows ( ), heh. She caught my eye when I was walking around..serious props to the person who set up the display, the lighting was beautiful..all I did was notice it and mess with the colors / contrast some in photoshop And when you can't find someone to model for you..these are the next best thing. They really don't move very much, which is nice. Taken last night in downtown Seattle..

Was going to take out the reflections and little lights, but once I did it seemed too perfect in a way. Imperfections help keep things interesting and more realistic sometimes..

this is so haunting. again i see that shadow world--where the souls of inanimate objects live and plead. I've seen a lot of photographs that attempt something along these lines--to bring out humanity in a manikin. This is the first time I've seen it work. and brilliantly so at that. this touches me as much as a photo of a human being might.

Beautiful. Shame on me for not checking out the rest of your gallery after fav'ing one of your pictures. Time time time, eh? I got to go to London recently and saw a giant store called Harrod's, who I believe are partially famous for their extravagant window displays. This reminds me of them. No pictures though :/

Hehe, that's not what I meant. She was a sad bride who didn't want to get married.

..oh my bad ...heheh..

that's damn tragic, why did she do it then (not to pry or anything )?

Well, she said she'd feel guilty if she didn't. She was begged and nagged by my dad to be his wife.

love the tone of this photo. and i agree that the reflection adds to the appeal. It is as if she is almost dreaming of being a bride.

but anyways, good job. i like it.

I like how she is with the lamp like that . . . it almost looks like she is leaning on it. She looks more thoughtful here.
