Mr. Spider, I must say, is an extremely patient spider. Though towards the end of this THREE HOUR photo shoot, he was biting my stick. A gift for the librarians at my school, as they've helped me a LOAD.

(also, that poem pictured there is my own creation, "Lord of the Fall".)

Yikes, I'm sure! I've always wanted a spider, but my husband is a tad bit too scared to let me have one.

Awesome! I don't have a patience to do such a shoot; even a fat cricket wouldn't have satiated me (lol j/k). I love the lighting.

That picture is downright AMAZING!
The light, Mr. Spider's pose, the text underneath...everything just fits perfectly!

Instant fave!

WOW! I love spider pics. They are amazing creatures (And I'm saying this as a sufferer of arachnophobia)

I say "I'm fine with them outside, but NOT in my house".

I'm even OK with them in the barn, and my sheds, as those are still 'outside', but they come inside, and I relocate them back outside, or if not possible, they get the shoe.... (Though not my first choice for spider control

I love the fast ones that seem impervious to Raid...dear lord those scare me. There were loads of em in Arizona. Yeck.

I've never been to AZ, and hearing about the 'scary' bugs in AZ, and other southern states makes me NOT want to ever go ;0P

I've been to Mexico, and saw roaches, a scorpion, and a couple black widows. All more than enough to keep me in western Oregon! LOL

hahaha, that'd do it! Here in Chicago, you're lucky to see more than squirrels and coyotes...and in the summer, we're Cicada haven.

Wow! Just look into the eye! How did ya manage to make mr. Spider so calm?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Entophile In reply to mroofka-Z [2008-08-05 04:40:37 +0000 UTC]

He wasn't a terribly high strung spider to begin with...and I try to be as gentle as possible when handling/moving spiders. Try to let them go at their own pace and what have you.

glad you like it!

Must be hard to work with Mister Spider after a 3h shot But it was worth it, it's a really good composition, and the lighting's really good too.
