i just drew my kitty. what fascinating angles cats can get themselves into. i just love the shapes that make them up. he's a Burmese loud as hell kitty cat and i love him to bits!Karakoram Rolo Roberts...if you want his whole ponsy name...we didn't name him

it's difficult, because unless you do take reference from life there's no way you can guess how a cat can move. i think my cat at least, acts as if he doesn't have a spine and moves like liquid. how hard is THAT to draw from memory. that and i think the shapes differ from cat to cat as well, and as i'm learning to draw cats right now so that i will be able to recall poses from memory i've got a LONG way to go.
same goes for every animal ever! everything moves and holds itself differently

Hmm, then in my case, Ratchet (once-upon-a-time my cat but now belongs to my ma) looks like a felon against the laws of anatomical physics -- he can twist his body around in a limp position in roughly about 180 degrees...
But I'm basically trying to figure out two things: the skeletal structure of the cat before adding the flesh, and the anatomical comparison with humans. Maybe instead of just thinking about it, I should just do it, y'know?
