Unexpected, unlikely and unreal. A spark that leads somewhere unknown.---
Another one of those spontaneous portraits straight out of my mind. No reference except my own memory which might make this portrait more like my imagination of this person. A person I met under such strange circumstances that it doesn't even feel real.
Either my habit of painting people I hardly know is a good thing, or just creepy. In any case, this image had to be painted and to you, my source of inspiration, if you see this: I hope you don't mind. You just sparked my creativity.

I've had this in my favorites folder for a while and I've just rediscovered it. I commend you for the sense of mystery that this piece evokes when viewed, I very much like it, I actually created a separate favorites folder evoking this same feeling and have used this piece as the template to judge other artwork of its type.

ok, anyhow, now i might sound like a total bitch, but i think the portait would look event better if you added
touches of warm yellowish light on his face and maybe on his hair. That should make the effect much stronger
