everyone feels sadness, but have you noticed some people can't seem to stop feeling it? for them, for us, it's a lingering notion that's always there. in every thought, in every step, in every breath.

some people don't understand how this can be. they think we only want attention, they think we only want to feel sorry for ourselves. and i'm sure there are plenty of people that just do that. but, there are the ones like myself... that learn to live with the sadness and the feelings and urges that go along with it. we may express it or we may hide it, we may embrace it or we may curse it. but whatever we do, it's always there.

there was a time in my life when i thought that somehow i could make it go away. i thought that if i could grasp certain things, it may vanish. if i had someone to help me, it would leave. but with time i learnt otherwise. i learnt that i was alone when it came to the sadness. no matter what anyone said, it was always there and it would always be there. so, you learn to live with it. in the best ways you can. you try not to let it take over, you express it in ways you can, it becomes part of you.

i doubt i will ever be apart from it. i don't hate it, but of course i don't like it.

don't dwell on the negative. you don't want to get lost in its abyss.

don't get mad or frustraited with people you think can help it, because some of us cannot. don't hate what you don't understand. just try to learn. try to be there. a kind shoulder or a nice hug will always help. so will a nice conversation. about anything and everything.

this piece is for the sadness that always lingers inside me. and nothing more.
