I believe that’s a terrible idea. Placing an average beside an idealistic would encourage girls to compare; it would emboss the idealistic rather than giving them any comfort. Such a measurement would trouble everyone making the artist’s work more troublesome and insecure, low self-esteemed girls lots more afected.

Maybe a better way to look at this deviation is to take in the effort and beauty of the shot, leaving insecurities aside.

It isn't unrealistic though. I'm not as thin as her but I love the photograph. 
Plus anyone can reach that, just takes a lot of dedication.

Though I see where you are going with your idea, linking a photo of an average-weight woman so that other girls will not feel so bad about themselves because they cant reach this unrealistic 'beauty' is no realistic. The thing is that the photo of the first model is still there. The problem is that body of these women is impossible for the average-weight woman to achieve. These women have the genetics to produce a body that they have. You could say the same about a basketball player slam dunking. Why not attach a photo of someone of normal high having a shot. Thing is that the basketball player was born to be close to 7 foot.
We can always try to paint a better picture of the world for everyone, the thing is that some people are born more suited certain occupations. The fact is that there are people that a like this in the world. You can meet them in the street, so you might as well get use to them.

I agree. Most women won't be able to look like that girl. That girl is tall and thin. She didn't decide to be tall or thin, she was born with those genetics. She could probably gain a few pounds if she wanted to, but she can't just get shorter. And other women can't just get taller. thin women get hate just like over weight women, people just don't notice it. Some girls can't help being skinny, and some girls can't help being fat. It's all in genetics.

Sorry if you think that my comments are a morbid/over-the-top 'get real' reaction, but we live in a world where some people will be skinny no matter how much they eat and some will gain weight just by looking at food. But adding a link to a photo of an average person isn't going to do anything.

My intention was an applause for how elegant you put it. I've seen so many forums/message boards filled with people who would and have replied with 'too bad, chunky' or 'oh waaah!' and you rather let CreativEnergy here have it more gently. Agreed, posting links/images to contrast this material is bound to have no purpose other than to somewhat raise someone else's self esteem. It's not a photographer or other artist's obligation for posting his/her own work and then having to submit something else because someone's feelings might've been hurt. There's no pleasing everyone but fixable. There are plenty of users on this site who have "please respect", "turn on maturity filter if offended", in the artist comment section. Who would've thought exiting the page would be so hard?
 

Besides, most people are purty in their own way. Eyes, face, hands, muscle tone, skin tone, hair, um... posterior. We're fortunate Enigma's models have it all and honestly it'd be very awkward if he was pushed to link pics of a different model.... just because someone said so.
