Description This is a set of gem models I made approx. two years ago as an exercise. They've been collecting virtual dust on my HD so I figured I'd share them with you all.
I've uploaded a zipped archive containing a .blend file with the models in it. You can use them for whatever you like. All I ask is that you give me credit for the models, include a link to my gallery, and let me know.

Enjoy!

What were these modeled in...and what renderer did you use if you don't mind me asking ?

I'm a fan of 3d modeling...especially since I am not good at it

They were both modeled and rendered in Blender 3D.

I hear they updated the interface to Blender to make it a little easier. I've seen some impressive movies/scenes come out of that program though.

You did a good job !

They did update it. The new interface is far less cumbersome and would be much easier to learn. The only problem is you've got people like me who've been using the old interface for 10+ years and don't like change, ha!

I know how that goes all too well. I remember the complaining from coworkers when Gnome 3 was released and got installed on their desktop during an upgrade. I am not a fan when they dramatically change the interface

I tell you what, the changes on Blender were great but I still find myself searching for 45 minutes sometimes for that one button they moved or command they renamed.

I know exactly what you mean. Know how to do something in one version but they rearrange the UI or change terminology on you. Quite frustrating when there is work to be done
