Description Based on the U.S. Version.  Another costume I never quite finished due to a deadline, but I'd rather re-make it now than re-finish it.

This is really amazing! What else needs to be re-finished on it?

Oh goodness!!  Well, since I actually stenciled on the pattern (a disaster), I didn't have time to do the engageante parts or the "fashion fabric" side in the waterfall draperies.  I also didn't get the fit on the bodice that I wanted; it was one of my first full-out trying-to-draft-my-own-pattern experiences.  I have a website I haven't updated in a while, but if you'd like to read about the crazy process I have a page on it here: klcostuming.wordpress.com/phan…

Thanks for the compliments!!  If I ever re-made my own, I'd use the many options available on Spoonflower now.  I'm actually working on a UK Wishing bodice for someone using the replica fabric.  Much harder to get the pattern to match up, but worth it versus spraying the pattern on.

That sounds awesome! I don't have the patience (or time right now, for that matter) to try a feat like this. Although, I am considering making the PONR costume from the Broadway production - any tip, hints, places to visit for fabric/patterns?

Aminta's probably the most complex pattern-wise out of Christine's wardrobe.  Before I knew how to pattern I tried to alter a Victorian bodice and it just turned out really bad.  It's something that really must be a custom-made pattern.  The skirt is a strange animal too, with it's bell shape only 3/4 of the way around and completely open in the front.  I haven't found anything close relating to patterns.  My own Aminta replica has been on hold for years because I haven't found a silk in a good-enough color or a black lace that I like enough.  And I probably search every couple of months, too!

Wow. That's good to know! Maybe there's another phan out there who's made a custom pattern?

I dunno.

Thanks for the costume conversation though. (^)^
