Description
A wandering cat, so-called, is any member of the general riff-raff who don't live anywhere, who only stay where they can get easy food, who have no loyalty but to their own immediate companions--if that.
The term, while possibly inaccurate in it's application (and it's implicit description of cats) never the less has stuck fast, another way for respectable citizens to separate themselves from the less worthy.
