Description my 1/35 M4 "Mighty Monster" High Speed Tractor. for some reason this thing kinda reminds me of the chariot from lost in space. with that outta the way, this thing is quite interesting and few in existence today. this mighty beast would hull a howitzer but i haven't thought up mine will be hulling. wiki link for more info [link]

the kit is from hobby boss, and was my first time working on one of their kits. very very nice indeed but was quite challenging. overall i was quite impressed and will be buying more hobbyboss int the future.

gunner is awfully exposed up there. a little shield on either side of the gun would do wonders. makes himself a perfect sniper target up there

for some reason this is my favorite thing you made it must be the detail and also i got to drive an earlyier version of this it didnt have a cabin but more like a drivers seat in the middle front and a storage area behind it for artillary shells and it had a few canvas seats for the arttillary crew

thanks a ton buddy!
this is one of my all time personal favs i have done. i dont know why ether but i think its the engine/hull detail. it was hard work but i was able to pull it off(tho a couple of hoses have sine fell off)
anyways thats pretty awesome you got to drive a version . these kinda things always interest me, dont know why. maybe because i am a country boy and its a freaking massive tractor!

I actually saw a few of the real ones years ago. They were moving a house to make way for a new road so they moved the house about a half mile down the road to a new location. A company from Pennsylvania did the job and they had two of them towing the house verrrrrry slowly down to the new location. Stuart tank chassis by the way.

Do you even like the Maus? You have a few german tanks in your collection, but no Maus.

enc86 In reply to Heretic1311 [2013-02-07 18:47:39 +0000 UTC]

i do like the maus! i am a big fan of ww2 German armor. i have only been building tanks for a year, its been on my to-do list.

For half a year? I made models for almost 3 years, but never reached your quatity! Ok, i was in my early teens back then and didnΒ΄t had the patience, but your work IS impressive.
Oh, and if you like ww2 tanks, maybe you would like the anime Girls und Panzer. But be careful, the translators have integrated german therms in the translation, so it can be annoying if you donΒ΄t speak any german.

well overall i have been building models for about 3 years, but wasn't intill about 1 year ago that i started making armor and dioramas. thats when i tried harder and have been building more. the first few years i would make maybe 6 a year. last year i made a ton and this year looks good too.
thanks a tons dude, ill check out this Girls und Panzer, sounds entertaining.

its a fantastic kit with lots of stuff can be done with it. has some incredible extras and details too. i got mine for $30us and was well worth it.
there are some tricky parts with this thing tho, and some modifications were needed to get it built.

Looks great!

"Mighty Monster", cool tag.
I named one of my tank models (the M41 Walker Bulldog) "Hell Raiser".
I was pretty nervous about hand painting the name onto the model, so instead I painted the name on a clear decal sheet. Once the paint dried, I just placed it where I wanted.
I've also used my printer to print out decals, this worked really well.

thanks dude!

i had never thought about the clear sheet, very excellent tip!
yea i keep meaning to get them blank printer decal sheets, there is tons i could do with that, but seem to forget when its time to order. my brain gets bogged down with armor and paint.

You must at some point remember to try this, you'll definitely be impressed by the results and also get to make some of your own custom decals.
