Well it looks so ram shackle, rugged and raider-ish, it's so fiendish too, the only way it could be more terrifying, is if it had bloody spikes along the bottom, and blood all over the scoop and treads. I mean really, this thing literally scares me, what with the heads on the front and all. So yea, the little details make it look like low class, rugged, mean guy survival gear. I mean I love the idea of a bunch of badass waisters using stuff like this that are good guys, storing stuff on a big supped up dozer, but those heads add a very menacing and dark touch that kinda scared the pants off me, but all the little details are so fantastic... I could gush on like this for hours, but yea, completely love it. Very big fan of Fallout III and Vegas, as well as Metro 2033. Need to get the second part some time. I wish I could see the Madmax movies, but I have only clips on youtube, and there impossible to find around here.Β

thanks a tonnage again. i really dumped alot of effort and time into this one. tried to trow everything i knew how to do and them some at it, and load up as much detail as i could. took at least a couple weeks to build/detail before i even got to the paint.
i almost added even more blood and had a "dead body" fiure that was kinda being worked on but seeings how i never have added gore before, i stopped a little short on it. if i had to do it over i probably add a few more splashes of blood and alot more spikes.
really great to hear that you dig all the detail and what makes build like this worth it for me. knowing that the extra time and tiniest of detail will pay off and knowing somewhere someone will spot it is great.
LOVE,love, love fallout(2 is my fav) and mad max. remember getting my hands on them at a youngish age and they left quite the impression on me. metro is allright in my book but is no Stalker(which is up there on my fav games).
hummmm are you from usa?(can be found on amazon very cheap) and when i read/respond to your note, ill try to remember to send free streaming link for ya (if i don't remind me)Β

First off, yea, I'm American, Irish/German mainly, but I speak a lot of German, so my words go all crazy all the time, and secondly, I deeply appreciate ALL the detail you do in all your work! That is very kind of you, I'd love to see the films, but I never buy anything online. But if your streaming it, I'll see about watching it, I don't know if you have to be on for me to see it though, but I appreciate the thought immensely either way!Β
"He had his indicator on!"
"SsssssshhhhhUTUP!"
Classic. I love the gyro copter guy. OOOH! That's something you should try next! Raider gyros, with 1 thug on each side with a machine gun! I need to draw some of this stuff.Β
I watched some of the Fallout II stuff, ,sadly, I never got to play them, or STALKER< but love how the games look. Russian accents are badass too. Metro 2033 is boring as hell starting out, but gets really good and gripping later in, especially when you get on the surface for the first time... It's... haunting. I love the cold, vulnerability of it all, the gas masks and stuff. I'd love a version of Fallout that makes you more desperate, and has cozy safe houses with people living in them, food, fire, guns, ammo, all sorts of cool stuff like that. And scary ass metro tunnels to explore for that ever so tantalizing loot. I'm a total ammo and supply hog, very stingy too. In Fallout Vegas, I had well over 10,000 rounds of 5.56 ammo... I think I had a max of about 200,000 at one time! Light machine gun fur da lulz too, totally beats the minigun. Ugg, rambling again.Β

ahhh ok, good to know going forward, i try(when i can) to get links for different regions.
there are loads of good streaming sites that are free, i just don't want to post them in public(they might not work over time)
i use to be the same way about buying stuff on the net, but i live in the woods and i NEED stuff XD
really should look into amazon, they are pretty dang trustworthy.
that's something that might really happen at some point. i actually started one a wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy back, but sits in one of my bits boxes, semi kinda built.
yea see they alot of those "classic" games were coming out when i was a kid and i was blessed with a PC(my mom said they were the future and i need to lean about them) so yea i leaned all right, i have had consols over the years(and love console games) but most of my fondest gaming memorys are with the likes of doom and fallout.
i liked the metro games and the team really did an excellent job with the conditions they worked under(some of them worked on stalker too) they really nailed the atmosphere and it really really immersed me but i wished that it was more opened ended and i would be free to really explore.
lol i know all about being a crazy loot and ocd pack rat in games, dont even get ME started on it.

Your ma sounds WOOORLDS away from mine, she fought tech so hard, I was like, I don't know, 16 when I got a computer, and she fought the net for years. I don't use amazon, as I don't have paypal, and find a lot of that stuff mega confusing. I know, I wanted to hoard like 10,000 filters, then explore a frozen over Moscow and hoard loot. I had like 5,000 regular grade bullets, and I don't know how many military grade, but I think it was in the quadruple digits. Fallout Vegas, I'm terrible, I collected armor, weapons, aid, and junk, and had specific chests for each, and modded all weapons, and designated the safe for them, ad a cabinet for unmodded, had over almost 900,000 caps, almost a million of them from hoarding and clever trading... Ugh, I'm such a klepto.

ahhhh that does sound worlds away! well my mom was super crazy about other things so i think it works out.
i don't have paypal either, amazon uses my checking account, and is a god send out here in the middle of nowhere.
lol sounds like me in fallout or stalker. man you would get lost in stalker!

love it tho and really get into the zone when working on all this stuff. takes a ton of time(if you include cleaning the resin and prepping for primer) but i think it will be worth it, as i love the fully loaded look so much.

I'll tell you what, you have really gotten me back into building models! This stuff is crazy cool! Must have been a pain to put together lol
I'm currently building a 1/35 scale model Humvee and have kid of kitbashing it a bit, having a lot of fun with it tho lolΒ
btw, if you dont mind me asking, where do you find this stuff? O.o I've been looking everywhere for little detail pieces like this for ages, and I've just been making do with some extra pieces off of older models, but Im running out now lol
Anyway, its really turning out great! Cant wait to see all these details on the finished model! ^-^

You can build up a spares box quickly by "shopping carefully". Aside from resins, there are injection moulded sets that are nothing but personal weapons, LMGs, man-portable missile systems...
The Tamiya SdKfg 222 (4rad) Afrika Corps includes 4 figures (one in temperate uniform, 3 in desert), a motorcycle, and a small fuel dump of 50 gallon drums and jerrycans.
See where I'm going with this?

kitsunelegend In reply to paws4thot [2014-12-24 23:12:10 +0000 UTC]
I think I do lol (its late here please forgive me x3) The only thing tho is I dont really like buying whole kits just for parts, to me it seems a little bit of a waste because the actual model never gets built. However, thats not to say I wont kit bash one, and then use un-used parts from that in another model. I'm planning a big diorama and will probably make some burned out hulls of some vehicles which will probably give me lots of little extra parts to use.
What I really want to do tho is figures. I dont really know why but I love putting together 1/35 scale modern day military figures. What I could always use is more guns tho lolΒ

paws4thot In reply to kitsunelegend [2014-12-25 12:00:13 +0000 UTC]
Well, my point about the 222 was that the AC boxing includes the vehicle with standard stowage, 4 figures, a motorcycle, 3 x 50 gallon drums, and a pile of jerrycans. As designed that lets you build a vignette of the AC crew and motorcyclist discussing routes, and leaves you a spare figure in Wehrmacht temperate uniform, any fuel containers you don't use and some heads, hands and arms, or an uninhabited 222 plus 4 figures...
If you type, say, rifles into an on-line kit retailer's search engine, it will come up with figures from specific rifle units, and accessory sets that are nothing but personal weapons (pistols, SMGs, rifles, grenades...), vehicle stowage will return things like ammo boxes, rolled up sleeping bags and camo nets, fuel cans, there's at least one set that's nothing but LMGs and ManPads...
Try using your local version of the large South American river, and some of those search strings, and you should see what I mean.

ahhh that's great to hear, makes my day that i could inspire you.Β most of this kinda dettail is pretty fun for me to make, i get like in the zone and its relaxing.tho i cant lie, some of this stuff is a HUGE pain in the a@#Β the little flashbangs or painting the same ammo crates over and over again.
ahhh awesome, loads can be done with a Humvee. having fun is the most important thing, and i always have the most fun when i get to bash a project a bit.
dont mind at all. while some stuff is just random bobs from other kits(or stuff i made) the bulk of this pile is from a resin verlinden stowage set. i buy my stowage sets from Scalehobbyist.com here is a listing some of the cool stowage they have, tho you might need to dig around a bit www.scalehobbyist.com/catagoriβ¦
thanks a ton! got the figurines and a couple of other things and it will be done. hopefully by this weekend!
