well i think the weathering look good, remember that the republic and the rebells will never be remembered for how clean their fighters are

looks good weathering is good the ones in the movie where weathered and that leads me to ask where in space mister george lucas does on get a fight so dirty.... george lucas went overboard in the movie its as if every rebel or clone trooper fight flew under the ships when they dumped the sewage tanks but yours looks good plus im a tank man so i love a good dirty model

thanks man, i was not a fan of the ship but it was cheap and was a fun kit. i just got into tanks and am in love with building them, i love to weather the hell out of my models and tanks are just asking for it.right now i got like four armor kits siting in my closet(including a early tiger and a Abrams) right now i am working on a mekava, i think i might of over weathered this one but hopefully it will still look good.

give that merkiva a od green base then use i mix of light brown and tan pastels crushed into a powder then dust em on blow the loose stuff off and keep doing it until enough sticks that you are satisfied i still need to do another coat on my m60a1 im also waiting for my damn tamia weathering stick to come in i gave the mud color because the tank im doing is going to be in the a muddy german feild and dont for get to get some grass stuck in the tracks that always looks good just not too much put some here and there in the tracks but that merk make it dusty as hell those things go through a beating in the desert

thanks for the advise man, but im too far along now for that. i had bought the standard Israeli gray/sand, but when i got it the paint was toast. the mekiva is now severing as a test for my Abrams and was painted in a light gray, washed/filtered in burnt umber. i used dark grey and a dark brown for my pastels. im going for an alternative history urban scheme and might need some sort of dirroma to really set the mood. thanks man and for my next couple of kits im gonna try to be more historically accurate

Great !!! I am new to the model thing, never did a revel or something like that, but i want to start making some cross scratchbuildings, with parts from kit and parts from junk, like that ship you liked.
I have another models if you like i can show them to you, they are not all in D.A.
This Weathering thing, sound soo complicated for me, and i realize now, i must buy some specific pigments to do that, i cant do that with just orange and brown acrylic.

i weathered a tank in just black and brown acrylics [link] ( kinda just what i had) what i just got was a chalk pastel set(regular art pastels). works great, you just grind up into powder then apply with brush or sponge. [link] was done with the pastels. by the way, your work is amazing, wicked nice builds. i do some kitbashing but some day i am gonna try scrachbuilding. your stuff gives me lots of inspiration!
