RIDE ZE SHOOPUF??SHOOPUF'S WAITING!
ALL ABOARDSH!!!
My round THREE entry for !!! After kicking around all those meteors, Tidus decided that he wanted to cool off in the waters of the Moonflow for a bit. But lo and behold he was actually roped into THE BATTLE OF THE BLONDES. This is not a two, but a THREE-way battle between myself and Tidus, Ventus and copperjellyroll , and Mr. Boss Kain himself. With a random shoopuf and hypello that were probably just trying to go home for the day <__<.
Kain is a dragoon and more of a ranged fighter, so he's keeping his distance and jumping way up high and throwing his spear at anyone who moves. Ven is so fast that the lilypads actually hold his tiny butt up as he runs across them! But he tries to dive out of the way as Kain's nasty spear comes WHOOSH OUT OF NOWHERE. But does Ven notice the sekrit swimmy Blitz Ace lurking in the waters below?????? WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT???
This might be the 4AM in me talking, but I .....don't..... hate this! I'm certain that the perspective is laughably and hilariously wrong, but I actually attempted to color faces too for... like the first time ever! So far in this competition I've kind of blown off the face-coloring aheh but NOT ANYMORE!!!! And they're not great but PROGRESS. It's lovely.
But anyway yes GO LOOK AT copperjellyroll 'S ENTRY. Look at it. LOOK. It's absolutely *DIVINE*!!!!

Okay okay okay this is more than one day since my last comment thing but here goes:
I can't explain how excited I was when I first saw the WIP for this in your tumblr account ;u; Everyone I've been against in DissidiaAces all haven't submitted entries and it makes me sooo sad ;u; AND THEN BAM! VENTUS ARRRTTT SO HAPPPYYY.
I really really really love how you pulled off drawing moonflow AND THAT DETAILING ON THE SHOOPUF. THAT MUST HAVE TAKEN FOREVERRR. And the lily pads, they just show such a great sense of perspective and distance (as well as the Shoopuf's tail and the position of hypello)! It's just, your backgrounds are impeccable. Knowing that was one of the most inspirational factors to motivate me to want to work on my BG skills more ;u;
I also really love the composition of your pieces - I would have never thought of drawing a scene that was partially underwater! The ideas behind your pieces are just so creative, and your drawing style is super flexible, unlike me who seems to have trouble drawing vertical pieces period. OTL You're just so amazing!!
I love how you show 'motion' on your characters as well - a factor I've been struggling with in my submissions~ It really shows a sense of action, and characters looks super intense and involved in the fight ;u;~
And I'm so happy that you liked Ven~~ It seemed that since DissidiaAces is more focused on Final Fantasy that nobody really knew too much about KH charas, especially since BBS was a relatively recent release~
And AND AND AND YOU USE PS.
THAT PROGRAM IS THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.

I CANNOT believe you haven't had any opponent entries yet so far! That's AMAZING to me. I was the only one last round and I can't *imagine* how frustrating it must be to win ALL of your rounds by default! JEEZ people why u no liek Ventus??? I LOVE *love* love Kingdom Hearts. ESPECIALLY BBS. The only character that surpasses my deep and unerring love for Terra is Riku. I love Riku so much oh my god BUT ANYWAY YES I was SUPER excited when I finally got to draw me some KH friends! I totally NCAA'd the brackets, like, back in October or something and was like OOH I MIGHT GET TO GO AGAINST THE CRAZY AWESOME VEN LADY!!! And I'm REALLY GLAD that happened!!!
I freaking LOVE the compositions you do in, like, EVERYTHING. It totally inspired me to go and try something insane myself I used perspective grids in this WHAAAAAT. Seriously omg. I love the way you do expressions and crazy poses and just people in general YOUR ART IS SO LEGIT AHHHHHH!! See I'm devolving into a blubbering love mess again but ANYWAY yes!!
PHOTOSHOP. I bet if I understood it, I could make things SO MUCH FASTER. I use, like, three brushes in everything. Occasionally I'll do something crazy like overlay a fun texture to make the picture slightly more reddish, but otherwise yeah, I'm a complete waste of Photoshop's time <__<. YOU MAKE THINGS IN SAI HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT. SAI looks crazy hard to use with all its blendiness and lack of exciting brushes. Respect, my friend, RESPECT.

LOOK HOW WELL THIS TURNED OUT!!!The mood here is utterly fantastic because it obviously WAS a pleasant sunny day but then the storm clouds started rolling in. The color scheme of Moonflow works PERFECTLY with it to begin with because it's that really ominous yellowish-green that warns people it's about to tornado-hail-storm on everything. These kids need to finish their battle ASAP. >__>;
My FAVORITE part is how you shaded Ven HI VEN with your four layers of clothing and armor and metal bits and accessories and blue highlights and red highlights. He's really not ready to hit the water, but I guess it's better than being hit by a spear. I'm pretty sure he's thinking WHAT WOULD TERRA DO THIS IS FOR YOU TERRA I CAN DO THIS AHHHHH
And of course the Shoopuf skin. It's so tough and wrinkly and textured. Also loving the half-underwater view of Tidus and all the little bubbles. I'm 100% positive he's down there because he's currently pressing A over and over again to make the driver say "SHOOPUF'S WAITING" "RIDE ZE SHOOPUF" nonstop and drive his opponents mad. It'd sure work on me. <___<

SEE. SEE. I found this reference of the Moonflow: static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__c… ugh HD Tidus' violently yellow hair I hate it I hate it and went LOOK THE CLOUDS ARE TRYING TO BE YELLOW AND VIOLENT so I just sort of made it more.... dramatic <__<;;;.
AND THANK YOU I'M GLAD YOU LIKE VEN!!!! He took me so long HE TOOK ME SO LONG. With his stupid face and all 43293949 layers of stupid clothes and all the plate armor and the weird way he holds his Keyblade AHHH VEN. BUT YES I'm super glad it's not all in vain >____>;;;
Really I just kind of expect Tidus and Ven to both start laughing hysterically and go play pranks on Lulu. <_____<
