Description trying some movement... inspired slightly by an old breyer model of Smokey the cow horse, but slightly more stylized and dynamically positioned... there is a plan for this one eventually.

Its not hard to figure out if youve gone through the gallery and caught some of the running themes...

many thanks, she is actually supposed to be matching the crashing waves of the ocean which is going to eventually be her background. I was going for that liquid running thing.

Much Mahalo! I enjoy doing hair... that whole Disney Pocahantus sort of thing... because we all know it doesnt do that in real life (I've got some photos from my birthday where they told me to unbraid my hair when I was on the beach, and I had the beautiful pocahantus moment for all of a second... and then a bunch of photos of my hair just ATTACKING ME! And a few where it looks like its actually trying to EAT my face! Pricelesly funny actually, but trust me the brushing the knots out after... NOT WORTH IT!) LOL

Anyway, in art though, you can totally pull it off without all that mess that happens after! its sort of theraputic-ish

*chuckles* Yeeeeah... when I chopped all mine off there was a moment of "sniff! no pretty hair pictures!" after which I remembered all those wind knot moments, and fighting with it when it came to helmets and keeping it out of the way... I was far more resolute about my decision, lol.

LOL I hated myself for chopping off more than a foot of mine last year when I found out I was pregnant (Dont ask me, I just decided I HATED it all at once... Im blaming that irrational pregnancy thing) It was still below my shoulder blades (It was half way between my bum and my knees before I hacked it) snd then after the twins were born, it started falling out so now its "in recovery" and is all just sad, but its still very long and flowy, just a whole lot less thick than it was before!

I dont know why, but I miss it when its gone(there was a period of my life when I had short hair, and ruined it by bleaching it platinum so often that I just decided to start over and shaved my head once), its sort of part of who I am.... Im a long hair sort of girl. I tried the other thing, but I just missed it so much that I've come to accept that its me

AND with that said, there are days when I want to shave it all off, because its such a high maintenance pain in the bum to do anything with! LOL

Ah but I can sketch it out all kinds of ways, and not have to worry about the messy clean up afterward! LMFAO... escapism at its finest!

See... I thought I would be the same way... Really miss it when it's gone... but so far not really. I'm not sure why that is either, lo. Because I think long hair is gorgeous and fun to play with for dressing up and such, but... I dunno... short hair apparently sits well with me, hehe.

Now on horses >.> being raised with an arabian I even liked when my TB had long hair, hehe... tho it made him look a little unkempt.

Oh man after my Client's Friesians... yeah I am totally good with having my Arabian's THICK but not terribly long mane! I had a Luso-Welshie when I was a child, her mane grew out to her knees, and I remember constantly keeping it braided to maintain it, same with the lusos at one of the schools I trained at, but with the Friesians, the lice they get in their leg featherings, and the constant battle with brittle snappy hairs, and just the sheer volume in those tails... yeah, I remember trying to teach her how to keep it braided so you could have that pretty hair when you did the show thing... but that was just too much when you got 9 of them to do every day and it takes about an hour to properly dress that stuff per horse... lets just say there is a reason they are kinda 'unkempt" looking in the pasture pics! I think I am completely good without the courtains and courtains of hair... lol but that said, it sure is visually impressive!

For me, yeah, I dont know, I tried everything else on, I think it just fits me best. It was liberating when I shaved it though, that was a fun feeling, when you let go of the fear and just say "JUST DO IT", and you dont have much grooming time after that for several months, that was kinda nice! Didnt care for that look on me though! LOL

Ew... foot lice! I knew they could get fungus easier and stuff but I didn't know about the lice. >.< We had a pony at the barn that looked like a mini andalusian (like you shrunk one in the dryer) and he had the most amazing tail and forelock (kept his mane buzzed so it wouldn't break his neck) but I left for Hong Kong and when I came back his tail was so straggly! I was beside myself mourning for his pretty tail because too many camp/lesson kids had brushed it. >.<

That stupid reality thing... always ruining a pretty image!

Sort of like having nice hair, its only nice if you keep it braided up and squirreled away most of the time. Well that and IF you decide to wear it down, here in Hawaii it gets soo much freakin hotter and you end up wanting to put it up so your neck can get air to cool yourself down! Its amazing how much putting your hair up and ontop of your head helps cool you down!

*nods* That was a big part of it for me in Southern California... but after my neck injury I started to notice that putting it on my head was causing my head and neck to ache faster. >.< So one of the reasons for cutting it has been that. I didn't realize how heavy it was until that point, hehe. But now I don't have it for when I get cold and don't have a jacket (cause it does help a little, lol) or when I don't want people to see me crying (Insta-curtains!). There are definitely plenty of uses, hehe.

Definitely... When I had mine done in the whole Bo Derek 10 hairstyle, I didnt realize it was that heavy till I got on a scale and realized I was 30 pounds heavier! Damn beads!! And yet I miss them....

it was, and as irritating as it got, espeically the clacking sounds when you moved, every time I take them out I MISS them for a good two weeks, and keep trying to get them to make sounds! LOL

Good times

You really dont realize its THAT MUCH weight though, until you see the numbers on it, then you sort of do the double take and go "WOW! ...just WOW" LOl
