Appearence: Verr is lean, yet powerful, his chest contains functioning lungs which allows him to walk about land and breath air, he does need to soak his body at least once a month to prevent his skin form drying. He has translucent fins on the edges of is forelegs that can extend at will, his paws also are webbed, and on his flanks he has large purple-red scales with yellow edges. He only has a nub for a tail, and the only fur on his body is that of the short mane on his neck. His body is predominantly scaleless. His ears are semi-transparent, and his skull is canine.

Personality: Verr is aloof and tends to do his own thing. He doesn't dislike company, nor does he seek it. He can be very temperamental and aggressive, lashing out at any mistaken insults or foolish skullbounds. He isn't very talkative and just prefers to observe rather than say anything, others see him as a mysterious type, and often he can be found floating in any water source, watching silently. He can be a bit immature and offensive.

Likes and Dislikes: Verr enjoys eating meat and fish, although he doesn't necessarily require it, but the hunt draws him in and if he doesn't eat his prey he feels like he's wasted a life. He enjoys snatching up misplaced and forgotten human items, such as his goggles, and sneaking about to observe the upperworld's inhabitants. He enjoys hanging around any body of water and swimming or floating in it. Verrani dislikes heat, especially fire and anything that can dry his skin and make him uncomfortable.

Brief History: Verranni was born and raised to be a tidecaller, he knew it befoer his training as a seeker had begun, and both his parents were tidecallers. He preferred to stay alone, not socializing with any other seekers nor speaking much to his mentors. If he behaved wrongly, which he frequently did, he wasn’t even fazed by the scolding he would receive. They were just words of weak skullbound who could not summon the remorse he needed to feel. Early on the mentors noticed that he was very different from the others, they suggested he train alone, which verr took as an insult, attacking the mentors and earning himself banishment to the outer walls of the city. He was forbidden to meet with his parents nor meet with other skullbound his age. The banishment severed his fleeting attachment to others and now her lives void of companionship and love, he doesn’t understand others nor do they understand him. When he does encounter his peers he would always keep his distance, watching them and trying to understand why he is broken and shunned. Fortunately when he reached the age of 200, the council offered him another chance, giving him the ability to become what he had been born to do. He became a tidecaller and used his powers to assist the city enough so that he could still live within its walls, but also venture out away from others when he pleased. After some time, he went to the councils to ask for assistance in finding himself a companion, attempting to break his nature of solitude. They rejected him, stating he would cause more harm than good to his skullbind or soulmate. He left in anger, abandoning the city walls and wandering till he came upon another skullbound. The mysterious figure offered him the chance to seek what he truly desired, and that with him, he would get it.
Other: Verrani is very odd in that he does not have a “conscience” he can harm or kill without any thought, and often he tried to understand the feelings that others exude. He acts the way he thinks he should, not how he feels he should.

Relationships: None, he wants to find a mate, but his lack of feelings and aggressive nature have all but separated him from that possibility..

Role-play example: The sleek TideCaller skullbound slid through the water silent and deadly as a snake. He had just returned from the surface, completing yet another gathering of energy for the city. He came close to the shore of the river he traversed, noticing a group of young skullbounds training to be what he was fortunate to receive. They played and smiled and felt happiness, where he only felt cold. The TideCaller hissed under the murky water, only his eyes and ears above. He wanted to know how it felt, happiness, anything but the hatred he knew. He wanted to feel their happiness, to experience what the joyous emotion brought to his senses, but he knew he could only 'think' about it, and all his outward emotions were but a fake shield, protecting his broken soul.
