Technically it's just awesome. Great work on the details and the materials! I assume you spent a lot of time on it? Especially the metals and their "shininess" are well depicted.
Generally the composition is working well - the only negative point (besides the fact that I'd like to see it colored e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="
If this is done with a reference image directly from the movie it's not apparent. It would nicely fit into - or even onto the cover of - a comic or graphic novel...

i have instantly fallen in love with this. loving the pencil work as always. plus, after watching this movie in theatres, it has constantly stayed on my mind. and i'm looking forward to getting the artbook of pacific rim in the future and get started on a fan art of my own for it. but this is truly amazing indeed. can't wait to see the colored version.
