My third entry for ~kankakanka and *PearlEden 's "elements" contest.First picture I've ever started and completed in one day. First attempt at fire too.
Tools: micron pen, prismacolour pencils, white gel pen

This is beautiful! May I ask, how did you shade the white? I find colouring in white and black horses so difficult as they are solid colours...! Also, what coloured pencils do you use?

Thank you! To shade the white I use different tones of grey and shade them into where I want the shadows, using darker greys where there are deep shadows. All in good practice, just know to use greys. As for blacks, even I have difficulties with those, I haven`t quite figured out a good method for those yet. I use prismacolour pencils.
